OK, so there is a big difference in Superwide angle lenses and wide angle lenses. If price was the object and also having issues with barrel distortion in some lenses, such as the Tamron 11-17mm or as I indicated in my previous post regarding the Promaster lens. What am I up against on the Canon lens mentioned in the subject or similar lenses in a Sigma or Tokina.
By the way, I did return the Promaster lens due to the distortion factor.
I don't want to spend a fortune on lens that may not due the imageing that I want. I currently have the Canon 28-135mm IS USM lens plus a Quantaray 28-200mm lens for my Canon 40D. My interest is taking up close shots of flowers and plenty of outdoor landscape photos.
