I currently have the Digital Rebel but would like to move up to a better digital camera in the Canon line. OK so the title indicates the 6.2 megapixel vs. the 10.2 megapixel. I am also debating over the Canon 30D, which only brings the megapixel up to 8.2 from the one I have. Is it worth it to look more closely at the Rebel XTi than the 30D. I look for the quality in the print as well as the quality in the camera. My Digital Rebel does a great job, but I feel that I am missing something important when taking those large size photos of nature and skyline scenes. I am not looking for fast motion such as sports. What appears to be of value is the ISO consideration on the 30D vs the XTi.
