I'm looking to buy a Canon Digital XT but was wondering if any of the A-1 lenses would fit the XT? I'm new to photography, but my dad has an A-1 that is broken and if possible, I'd like to see if I can use them and save some money.
Thanks,
Pete

Your A1 uses FD mount lenses. If the XT uses EF lenses there is an adapter advailable. But you will have to focus manually.
Thanks for the info. This will save me some money as far as lenses go.
There's a long article about this topic at http://www.outbackphoto.com/the_bag/paul_lens_adapters/essay.html
Note the drawbacks:
* Loss of Autofocus
* Metering only will work in Av and M mode on most Canon Bodies AND ONLY WITH CENTER WEIGHTED
* Most of the adapter companies are niche players
