I recently received a Canon AE-1, and I like it, so I'm thinking of adding to it. I was ooking on ebay and I was wanting to know what name brand lens will work on a Canon AE-1? Can anyone help me, Please.

Canon obviously, and Canon sells a great variety of lenses aimed at levels from beginner to specialist pro. For budget lenses, there are Sigma, Tamron and Tokina who sell lenses in the Canon mount. These are well known companies, and while they are cheaper for a reason, many enthusiasts find they work fine. There may be even cheaper lenses from really obscure companies, or house brands of certain camera store chains, but those are of mostly dubious quality.
It is also worthwhile checking camera stores and even pawn shops for used lenses. With a wholesale migration to digital cameras, used film-camera lenses can often be found at bargain prices.
While there may be conversion mounts for lenses from other camera makers like Minolta, they would be hard to find and probably not work as expected. I know some were made during the era of manual lenses, but with the complexity of modern automatic lenses, they may have ceased production. This would be the least likely source of glass for your new camera, and not worth pursuing.
Thanks for the info, and you have a great site. I did more research on my camera, and I have a few pieces ordered. I can hardly wait to get started.

Thank you, and I hope it - and I - can be helpful in the future as well. Good luck.
