Hey,
Ill first off say I'm sorry for the Newbie questions, i really need to know the basics of lens, feed back from people who have an OLYMPUS E-510.
I was looking for a Decent DSLR Camera. I had my eye an OLYMPUS E-510 it got a cnet rating of 7.1. But there are so many things confuse me. The first thing i noticed is i can get this 10 MP camera with lens, for $100 less than the Canon EOS. I Currently have a Canon Power shot sx-100 (C-net rating of 8), a decent Point and shoot. I love it, canon makes great software and i was over all impressed by the quality of shots, and features. What other features, or quality improvements could i see?( besides the obvious size difference.)
Another thing That interests me is the interchangeable lenses. There were some shots I could not take because I needed a wider angle lens, and i am locked into what I have. There are way to many choices, because they're talking about a bunch of stuff that i don't understand. The first thing i would like to know is if there is an easy way of figuring a zoom power (eg 10X like my power shot)? What kind of lens should I get? Keep in mind Zoom is important me, that's why i got the power shot because of the 10X.
I mentioned above, the price difference between the canon and OLYMPUS, does the OLYMPUS not take as good as photos as the canon. Should I hold on to my canon?
Thanks for all of the help.
Chad
