I just received my new Nikon 7900, and LOVE it. However, after just a few weeks, the LCD display was broken while traveling by plane (it was in my carry-on luggage). The glass is still intact, but it has "spider webs" all through out, and obviously isn't working. My question is: should I send it back to Nikon (Over the past hour, I've read horror stories about their lack of customer service) - try a local Nikon shop (Atlanta, GA), or just bite the bullet and purchase a new one (I bought mine via an Internet store for $301.00 from an authorized dealer w/full Nikon warranty).
Many thanks,
Suwanee Sam
