By encouraging Bluebirds to come into my yard with mealworms I was able to set up a fence post and move around to get the sun setting directly behind where the birds came in to get their treat. When the birds nested in one of my birdhouses their fledglings would learn to come in and beg for a mealworm and their parents would feed them. The female also does this and the male feeds her as part of their mating ritual. This photo shows the female on the fence post begging the male for a mealworm at sunset.
