I am a high volume shooter (shooting 4 to 6 hour events, football games and large scale fire and accident scenes). I use both the Fuji S-5100 and 5200 digital cameras that use 4xAA batteries each. I generally use the 52000 and carry the 5100 as a back up just in case. I have sets of 2400 (x2), 2500 (x1) and 2700mha (x1) rated sets of nickle metal hydride recharegeables with the 2600mha usually in the 5200 and one of the 2400s in the 5100. There are times when I am shooting that I use and drain 3 of the 4 sets of batteries and am using the last set of batteries. I have which is cuting it close. Would it be adviced for me to buy more sets of 2500 and 2700mha rechargeables or does someone make an external battery pack I could clip on my belt and use for power. Both cameras have 5V AC power plug-ins. I have seen such devices for SLR cameras and flashes but can't find any info on 5V packs for regular digital cameras.
Any advice would be appreciated. One thing I have noticed is that if I top of all pf the sets of batteries the day before a big planned event I get 2x the photos before I run out of power but not all of my shooting is planned as I can be called to cover fire scenes at a moments notice.
Thanks in advance
