I need a good "starter" manual for taking quality photographs. Preferably one with a "workbook" or project-based format. Does anyone have a favorite? I've got a digital camera, Olympus 510, if that affects your recommendations.
Thanks, KR

Try Kodak's The Joy of Digital Photography. If you're looking for something with more guidance, how about enrolling in a photography class at a local community college, or joining a photography club?
You can also take a correspondence course in digital photography from the New York Institute of Photography (http://www.nyip.com). I took their Professional Photography course several years ago, and it was excellent.
And, of course, you always have this forum as a resource.
Good luck.....
Thanks very much for your recommendations. I'll definitely look into both!
