Quite a long while ago (5-8 years), there was an article in Shutterbug about how to shoot, process, and print a specific type of black and white photo. The result print was almost totally pure blacks and whites; almost nothing in between. I have lost that article. Help will be appreciated. Thanks. foto6@comcast.net
I searched through our article index and there are over 700 entries (!) for black and white articles and references in our database, so finding that one article is tough. Could you let me know how you are working (film or digital) and perhaps I can give you some tips "live."
Might you be referring to lith printing? That's the only thing that comes to mind off the top of my head.
The process was in film and wet darkroom technique. It had to do with the chemicals and processing time(s), specifically to the negative. The print processing was pretty much standard & normal. Wish I could be more help.
