I'm just starting out in Portrait work and do most of my shooting outdoors. I want to purchase a backround and can only afford one at this time. I have a roll of white seamless but want to get a multi-color muslin. I shoot mostly kids, including seniors.I was thinking of getting one of the blue tie dye looking types Any thoughts on the best type and color?

I would think that the color of the background should compliment the clothing and complexion of the subject.
I bought a storm gray background in a bag from Photek but I rarely use it:

You might want to look at a reversible background so you have two color options.

I have a muslin that is several colors of browns. It works great for just about anyone. I got it on ebay from fotodiox. It's cheaper there than it is on the fotodiox website.

Silverlake background is the best one, both quality and color, they do sell it on eBay under seller name: photo4u2
