Back to Film... Where are the labs?

Hello.

Just before the big push into digital, I spent a couple years doing weddings as a part-time job. Now my brother has asked me to photograph his daughter's re-wedding (don't ask ;-) and I agreed (again... don't ask ;-)

Now I'm faced with a problem. I want to use film. My best equipment shoots 35mm film, and film is best (IMHO) for portraits, skin-tones, exposure latitude, etc. In the past I used Kodak Portra Films for weddings, and I'm glad to see that it's still on the market.

My problem is: Where can I get the film developed and scanned (I know they'll want digital images)? I've searched a bit and I just can't find labs! What might you all recommend?

There are still lots of sources for color film processing and most professional-level labs also offer scanning. The basis for this is two seconds ago I did a Google search - you try it at:
http://www.google.com/
Then type in for a search of "35mm color film processing"

I don't know where you live, but I found a lab in FL that processes film: http://www.dalelabs.com/orderforms.html

I've never used them so I cannot recommend them, though.

If you google "35mm film processing lab" plus the name of your city or state, you should be able to find many other labs that will process 35mm film. Good luck! (And please share with us the name and location of the lab you end up using...and of course a few words on the quality of its service).
