I was looking at the Sigma 70-300mm lens but was wondering the difference between the DG lens and the APO DG lens and if it was worth the difference in price??
Thanks

APO usually refers to whether a lens has aspheric elements in the optical design and construction. It usually refers to an optical design and construction that is superior to normal, typical symmetrical shaped optical elements by providing a greater accuracy of optical correction with more accurate performance results. Aspheric lenses are more difficult and costly to design and manufacture, so usually the prices of APO lenses are greater than conventional designs.
