I still have and use my old reliable Vivitar Series 1 70-210mm 3.5 Macro Zooms. I have the first one made by Kiron with the 67mm filter size and the second with a smaller 62mm filter .They are still very good lenses even by todays standards but they are manual focus. I've packed these lenses almost everywhere I've ever gone and had a lot of the images from these lenses published over the years. I have my 80-200mm Nikon ED 2.8 now for a long time and use it most of the time on my digital slr but I love the old vivitars on my F-2s and F-4e. They have the same quallty finish and feel as Nikon. I hear they sell for as little as 20 bucks in mint condition because nobody seems to know what they are or can do . I would put these gems side by side with the same lens made by Nikon in every way and the only difference is the name .But that was back in the seventies and now the Vivitar name doesn't say much ,,,to me anyway. It sure is nice to use the older equipment. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,Roy
