Adding Text (Watermark) to Photos

Hi,

I'm new here, so if I posted this in the wrong forum, I apologize.

I use film, but have my slides scanned to disk. I'd like to be able to add my name to these electronic images, but don't know how to do this, as I'm not very techno-savvy.

I have Microsoft Photo Editor on my computer, along with Photoshop, but I don't use these, so I know nothing about them. I tried a cut-and-paste job from Word to Photo Editor, but was unsuccessful.

What I'd really like to do is add my name and a copyright symbol to these photos, for when I e-mail them to people.

Can anyone direct me on how to do this?

Count,

You might invest a little effort in learning how to use Photoshop inasmuch as you have a copy, and you'll find the application has a text tool that allows typing in what you wont (in a layer) that embeds your name and copyright symbol in the photo. Use SaveAs and then you have an image file with the text in it you want.

Count, you might also go to www.photoshoptv.com where every week they have a 30 minute free video show, and i think just two weeks ago they showed how to do watermarks using photoshop.
