I have been using a collection of odd old lenses on my Canon SLR's including recent digitals for years. In nearly every instance adapting a lens with a different mount to another body (Canon EOS in this case) demands the lens be used manually in terms of focus and setting the aperture, and with some more recent lenses there isn't an physical adjustment ring for the aperture setting - that is an insurmountable problem likely. Anyway I would suggest contactng either or both B&H and Adorama as the more likely source, and expect to pay something closer to $50. The adapter for my Canon was originally sold as a Canon accessory so you could mount the old breach-lock Canon manual lenses on an EOS body, but I suspect they were made for Canon in Taiwan, China or somewhere else in southeast asia, as more recent ones I've seen which look identical to mine have 3rd party brand labels like Kenko. Any good Canon adapter will have a lens element built in to correct for the greater lens to film-plane distance, and if it doesn't the lens adapted will probably not focus to infinity.
