Not that I'm aware of. But I also question the sharpness of a third party 2x teleconverter.

Any adapter you add will put the lens further away from the camera body and it will only focus close up if at all. What you're running into is the lack of backward compatibility with Nikon's G series lenses. That's why I've kept my old 60mm autofocus macro to use with extension tubes because the new 60mm isn't compatible.
