I am looking for a respected, accredited and up-to-date school that I could receive a bachelors or greater degree in. But before you list off, perhaps some of my history would help to better place the direction I should be looking.
I am currently in the military (Navy, E-5 Photographers Mate) and have been in the service for about 6 years now. Old Examples of my work can be found here, thought I no longer post there.
I have been focused primarily on the journalistic side of photography during my time in the Navy but my interest branch out in other categories of photography as well.
I have been a Photographers Mate for my entire service time with the Military and attended DINFOS at Fort Meade Maryland as part of my initial training. I am intermediate Photoshop user (Self learned), have my own studio setup, a Canon 20D with a variety of lenses and of course, a Macintosh computer. I am quite serious about making photography as a full time career.
I will be out of the service in Nov of 2007 and as such am very interested in finding the best place to learn. Opinions of schools are welcomed. What schools programs mesh well with the industry and other such considerations are also what I am after.
I thank you all for you help and assistance in this matter.
P.S I am also up to learning in other countries and such, but I am worried that the schools education might not be accepted in the states. Is there schools where I can go outside that dont fall under this issue?
