30D malfunction

while shooting this morning i thought i noticed a flicker in the lcd during image playback about 10 shots later the shutter button stoped responding , i powered the camera off then back on . when the camera is turned a picture is taken as well as when the mode is changed the back screen does not work but the top info screen does , the apertaure can be changed but no other buttons seem to work
any ideas as to the problem ?

No idea what might have caused it, but try removing the battery for about 20 minutes, then replace it - that might reset the functions.
