My 4000 DPI scanner produces the equivilent of 24MP. My 8MP Olympus is better than most of my lens-camera combinations, but using Pentax primes and a tripod and Portra 160, film is still better. The bigger issues are digital noise, limited dynamic range, and lens resolution with the smaller sensors.

Should make high quality 16x20 prints which is the largest print that I sell on a regular basis.
